KANAB, Utah (AP) — A dog is getting a new lease on life at a Utah animal sanctuary a month after escaping a worse fate in Indiana: being euthanized and having its cremated ashes mixed with those of its late owner. Ok I stumbled on this forum because two weeks ago our dog got sick with diahreaa and thowing up. I called the Life's Abundance company to hear about what goes into their food and was satisfied with the answers I got.

I met someone here (Stephanie) who also uses L.A. and she had great success with her dog.  I'm just trying to tell you there is a good product out there and they don't hide what they put in their food.  No product is immune to an issue or a recall it depends on how the company handles them.  I just wrote an article on my blog, "Calling your pet food 'holistic' doesn't end the debate".

It's true, you can still have all kinds of quality and nutritional questions even though a food says "holistic" or even "organic".  That site also lists all of the pet food recalls over the past several years, quite interesting.  Not to mention all of the other heatlh issues assoicated with feeding a dog or cat high contents of corn and some other grains. Should any dog or cat have an illness that damages their liver and/or kidneys please don't feed that animal a high level of protein.  I also get so angry that a pet food company such as Nutro can receive all of these complaints and still continue to put their products on the shelves.
